APRIL BERMUDEZ

I’ve collected my experiences, they are in books, toys, clothes, and all sorts of ephemera.  They are the receipts of a life lived. There are many items that come into your life, whether bought or gifted, or sometimes toys dropped on the ground and forgotten. I tend to keep them all. I’ll pick up that toy. I’ll cherish them for you. My experiences have shaped my life and live through my art. And the possessions that I have collected might be the only proof that I was here. Those inanimate objects can illustrate who I was more delicately and honestly.
